dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the paper is to develop discrete and continuous probabilistic choice models for a matching market of heterogeneous suppliers and demanders. The point of departure is similar to that of Tinbergen (1956) which considers equilibrium conditions in a matching market with a particular continuous distribution of preferences and attributes of the agents. The present paper extends Tinbergen's analysis to allow for rather general specifications of the preferences and the distribution of agent-specific attributes. | en_US |
